Off-track Undercutting

WT Byler does off-track undercutting

As ballast ages, it can be gradually be fouled by fine-grained material that fills the void between the aggregate. Once it has been determined that an area of ballast is compromised, off-track undercutting provides a way of replacing the ballast without wasting track-time.

As an option, horizontal-ripper under-cutting provides a way to cut cost, but still maintain drainage of the track system, though not completely removing the breadth of the track system ballast.
